Argunis/Operations/Infrastructure

Every server, in plain sight.

Servers, network devices, databases, cloud services and IBM i, with an agent, a probe in your network or nothing installed. Argunis knows what is up, what is slow and what it depends on.

With an agent, a probe or nothing installed

The Argunis agent delivers metrics, logs, containers, security and inventory from every Linux or Windows server. Where you cannot install it, a probe in your network checks via SSH, WinRM or SNMP and receives syslog and traps.

  • Agent for Linux and Windows with plugins
  • Monitoring probe for agentless devices
  • Move a machine between cloud, probe and agent without losing history
  • Credentials always in the vault

Alerts when they matter

Set the disk, RAM and CPU percentages that trigger a warning, how many attempts to wait before alerting and which checks open an incident. Catalog tests apply themselves by tag.

  • Disk, RAM and CPU thresholds per machine
  • Reusable tests and tag rules
  • Attempts before alerting and run now
  • Business hours and scheduled maintenance

It knows what everything depends on

Every machine has its site, group and dependencies. Argunis discovers relationships on its own and lets you simulate what goes down if a machine fails, so the alert comes with the cause instead of a hundred symptoms.

  • Discovered and accepted relationships
  • Simulate what happens if a machine fails
  • Sites on the map with their status
  • Probable cause and affected items in incidents

Databases, cloud and IBM i

With a read-only user, Argunis checks login, space, sessions, locks, replication and backups of your databases. Your cloud services appear on their own and IBM i (AS400) systems are monitored live.

  • PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, Db2, Informix and more
  • AWS, Azure and Google Cloud services
  • IBM i: jobs, subsystems, backups and PTFs
  • Custom tests with metrics on the dashboard

Everything Infrastructure includes

Machine page

Metrics, checks, incidents, logs and security for each machine, over the period you choose.

Server agents

Installed with one command from the web, self-updating, with plugins you can turn on or off.

Monitoring probes

Check agentless machines inside your network and never scan ports.

Alert thresholds

Disk, RAM and CPU per machine, plus thresholds for tests and databases.

Catalog tests

Reusable checks that apply themselves to machines with a given tag.

Databases

PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, ClickHouse, Vertica, Db2, Informix, MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra and Elasticsearch, with a read-only user.

Cloud services

What you run in your cloud shows up inside Infrastructure with its own page.

IBM i (AS400)

CPU, disks, jobs waiting for reply, subsystems, messages, backups, PTFs and security.

Relationships and dependencies

Where each machine lives and what it depends on, with outage simulation.

Sites

Each machine at its site and on the map, with its status.

Active and inactive

Deactivate without losing history and reactivate choosing where it is monitored from.

Credentials in the vault

Your machine passwords stay sealed and travel only for the task.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an agent on every server?

No. The agent gives more detail, but a probe in your network can check machines via SSH, WinRM or SNMP, and exposed services are checked from the Argunis cloud.

Which systems does the agent support?

Linux and Windows. IBM i (AS400) has its own live monitoring.

Where are my machine passwords stored?

In your company vault, encrypted. They travel sealed to the probe or agent only for the task and never go back to the browser.
